Desperateness showing up among builder’s

Two days back one of close friend’s parent requested me to suggest some good builder to buy apartment near the IT corridor. My friend is in US and being a first time buyer was not sure of the buying options there.

I was bit pessimistic about investing in OMR because of high cost and slump market there. I instead suggested them to look at Palikarnai or Velachery which is near by city and still easily accessible to IT corridor and guindy IT parks.

I suggested 2 projects to them. One being SIS Danube and other was Real Value’s Sai Surya and Sai Sujeet. I gave some contacts of Real Value marketing person. It was a surprise to me to hear that Real Value is now doing site visit.

The moment they called real value and showed some positive signs of buying one, the marketing person personally drove a Toyota Innova all the way to their home in Avadi and arranged a site visit and dropped them back home. I have never seen Real Value doing this before. All their projects gets sold out easily and it comes as surprise to see them doing so much to sell their flat.

Velachery is becoming a over heated with price tags touching upto Rs 5000 per sq ft in by-pass road apartments. I dont think it is really that worth and this is one area where price bubble is going to burst shortly. There is clear sign of desperation among builders to push their projects and i only hope it all does goood to the new home buyers.
